Overview

DAS provides services to all essential roles of a dance competition, including:

• Athlete

• Adjudicator

• Scrutineer

• Organizer

• Deck Captain

• Emcee

There is an additional role, Administrator, which administrates the site and provides role provisioning and competition provisioning. Administrator is only accessible to the site owner and can only be created by direct update in the database.

In DAS, functions for each role are grouped into an "application", and each application can only be accessed by users with the necessary role. The Athlete Application is the default application which is accessible to all registered users and does not require administrator's provision. Other roles, from Adjudicator to Emcee, requires administrator's provision.

To acquire a new role, the user must apply for the role in the Account Application, which is accessible to all registered users and does not require provisioning.

The Athlete Application is the default application of DAS and provides functions including:

• Competition Registration
